How to choose personalized party favors your guests can use

Choose a favor by guest count, everyday use and the space available for your design.

Start with one guest

Think about someone who will be at the party. What would they put in a bag, keep at a desk or use at home? A compact mirror suits a different routine from a bottle opener. Choosing an object with a clear use gives you a useful starting point before you compare colours.

For a mixed group, keep the design easy to understand. A name and event date can carry the occasion without needing a long explanation. If the gift has a practical use, leave enough room for it to work comfortably.

Work out the quantity before the artwork

Decide whether you are giving one favor to each person or one to each household. Include the hosts and anyone helping at the event if you intend to give them the same gift. Write that decision beside your guest count so someone else can check the order.

Package quantities can change the total. A listing for 50 favors is a price for that package; it should not be multiplied by 50 again. Compare the complete cost for the number you need, including any confirmed packaging, tax and delivery charges.

Keep small designs readable

A detailed invitation rarely fits comfortably on a narrow keychain. Choose the few words that matter most and view the design at the approximate size of the finished item. A screen enlarged to fill your laptop can hide a readability problem.

Save the final spelling in one place and use it for every product. Before submitting an order, check the event date, accent marks and colour quantities. Ask about the production schedule if your event date is close.
